TRASH & RECYCLING PROJECT- Looking for Families of 4 or more who live in SF and have kids 9-18
A writer and photographer team who have produced several global book projects on different aspects of human life are working on a public service project about residential waste management. This newest project includes families around the country, each photographed with a week's worth of their residential waste.
The team will monitor a family's typical waste management routine over the course of one week, and then make a family portrait.
The resulting exhibition will include family portraits of the families, with captions, and an artist's statement that explains the project. This work will be presented as both a printed exhibition and a website.
Confidentiality is important.
The sponsoring entity plans a public launch of the project with a print exhibit on the East Coast,
a web exhibit, blog, and media release in Spring of 2014. Family members will be advised that they can't engage in social media about the project or their role in it until the public launch. The families that participate will be given a cash gift from the sponsor, as well as a selection of the sponsoring company's products. Also the families can not have not participated in a commercial, tv or modeling venture previously.
We are looking for families with at least 4 in the household. There should be two parental figures and at least two children between the ages of 9 and 18. If there are more than two children, the third should be an infant using diapers. The families MUST live in San Francisco.
At this point we only need a photo of the family, the ages of the children and a photo of your home and or block.
Please submit photos as soon as possible.
Please email a Names of family members and a photo to firstname.lastname@example.org
